A framework of the transferable skills of information professionals

The experience of the career development and planning seminars suggested that a project that aimed to identify a framework of the transferable skills of information professionals, was topical and recognized by a wide range of practitioners as being needed. The British Library have acknowledged this need by funding a project for 15 months from January 1996. The following article outlines some of the background and the methodology to be used in the project.Downloads
